If you are having troubles activating a Trial key or a purchased Permanent key for the globalSAN Initiator, here are step-by-step instructions to help you complete the activation process. (If you purchased a license but still haven't received a confirmation email, you can still follow the steps below to retrieve and/or activate a license.)

For more details, please refer to the user guide installed with globalSAN.

To RETRIEVE a TRIAL license of the globalSAN iSCSI initiator, follow these steps:
1. Unlock the globalSAN preference pane (in System Preferences).
2. Click the License button on the Initiator tab.
3. Click Get Activation Key.
4. Sign in to globalsan.net (click the 'sign up' link to create an account if you have not done so already).
5. Click Start Trial.
6. Review or enter the product key to activate, then Verify.
7. Follow the steps below to ACTIVATE your trial license.

To ACTIVATE your permanent or trial license, follow these steps:
1. Copy your Activation Key.
2. Unlock the globalSAN preference pane (in System Preferences).
3. Click the License button on the Initiator tab.
4. Paste the activation key into the initiator's Activation Key field.
5. Click Done to begin using the globalSAN initiator.

To BUY PERMANENT licenses of the globalSAN iSCSI initiator, follow these steps:
1. Unlock the globalSAN preference pane (in System Preferences).
2. Click the License button on the Initiator tab.
3. Click Purchase Permanent Key.
4. Sign in to globalsan.net (click the 'sign up' link to create an account if you have not done so already).
5. Enter the number of licenses you need to buy.
6. Proceed to Google Wallet.
7. When you've finished checkout, follow the steps below to RETRIEVE your new licenses.

To RETRIEVE a PERMANENT license of the globalSAN iSCSI initiator, follow these steps:
1. Unlock the globalSAN preference pane (in System Preferences).
2. Click the License button on the Initiator tab.
3. Click Get Activation Key.
4. Sign in to globalsan.net
5. Click Get Permanent, then Activate.
6. Review or enter the product key to activate, then Verify.
7. Follow the steps to ACTIVATE your permanent license.
